Gold Canyon Turquoise is mined just south of the Arizona-Mexico Border. This geological formation of turquoise in the same string of deposits that include the Morenci, Bisbee mining fields. Gold Canyon is a  relatively new mining operation yielding a small amount of high grade turquoise nuggets. These nuggets are similar to Morenci, and old Kingman in that some of the matrix is a natural black but the majority of this natural turquoise has the familiar whitish gray kaolinite matrix when inked and sealed yields the beautiful so sought after black spider web jewelry.
